Okay you might say that I'm exaggerating but PAM tranXXit camp really did made me believe that I do actually have "architecture materials" within myself. Hmmmm probably it's because most of the time during the camp is nothing to do with architecture but PLAYING HARD (???) but then the time spent together with my peers were really an awesome one.

Last Saturday was the Penang State Band Formation Competition and ofcourse, great seeing all x-members gathering together again, cheering for JSPO and ofcourse the first-place cheerer SongKeat is back in town for action! Yes indeed the cheer for the day was a blast ;)

Compared to years before, this year's result announcement was a heart-wrenching-thrilling one considering *no offence* JSPO didn't perform as well as expected, and ChungLing Butterworth's performance was at par!

Anyhow, JSPO still emerged as the champion!!!!

PAM (Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia) camp was a blast although Taylor's College did leave early for most of the events :P. Despite that, I still manage to go back as a "BEST PARTICIPANT" of PAM camp 2008! @_@_@_@_@"

Call it insane crazy or whatever you like but that's the truth! WOAH! Unbelievable even for myself out of 200+ participants from around 20 colleges institute and universities I got

No seriously we waited for an hour just to get into the area with "un-fresh" people standing around us while getting stuffed like a sardine fish! Ughh.. What's worse is we didn't even manage to be the first 1000 to get the goodie bag!! (yea, the MAIN purpose to go to the party is to get the goody bag=-="..pathetic ain't it BUT FREE STUFF WHO COULD EVER RESIST COME ON SUMMORE FROM ROXY!?!?!)

Anyway, we finally manage to get into the beach zone (?) of sunway lagoon and end up not seeing any hot hunks.. Okay maybe a few "teenagers" hunks with blue eyes oh I guess we are really too old for Seventeen Magazine and Roxy!! o_O"

Ughhh...no longer young enough for something!?! *traumatized* @_@_@_@_@"

But eventually it went on alright until we have to squeeze our way out AGAIN @ 4pm when there were still the same amount of people outside waiting to get in! It's a BIG-NO-NO for the next free admission party unless it's really my cup of tea Malaysia oh Malaysia *__*"

=-=" okay don't be shocked it's just my feeling not that I'm actually PART of project runway=-="..It's just the feeling of staying over in college for the whole doing my outfit while getting home at 12am, just like Project Runway when all the designers have to leave the studio when the clock strikes 12. That happened last night when everybody actually stayed till midnight because of the freakin jam along LDP highway when drivers actually queued up to fill up their petrol tanks before 12am because petrol price is gonna increase 40% at 12am which is today, RM2.4o per liter are you kidding me o_O"..

Lucky thing I don't have a car in KL well it's not exactly lucky but considering traveling around KL takes ages which will consume a lot of petrol + burning the pocket, I find myself lucky not having a car..*__*"..

Anyway, doing the fashion outfit in digilab is really fun with the fact that there are awesome peers around to have fun and do some crazy acts together and also thanks to Josh who had helped me along the way ;) Ugh I'm definitely gonna venture into fashion industry once I'm done with architecture like seriously coz for the past few days, I really enjoyed every moment of it from designing the outfit to actually make it in real life. I mean come on I know architecture is also all about designing but not every of your design can actually be practical in real life, however for fashion you can have the wildest ideas and still have it done and wear it for real~!! Okay I know we still need the technique on how to sew it and everything but for architecture CONSTRUCTION!?!?!?! HELLO? What on earth!?! @_@"?!

By the way, went to OneU for rock climbing today with KengJin YinHao & his cousin and I would say it was really an experience and really NOT as easy as it seems! But doing sports always makes me happy :)

There were really lots of foreigners, groups of angmohs at that center spending quality time together rather than us Malaysians whereby the only activity that we could think of is no other than: SHOPPING! Why can't we also spend precious time doing healthier activities such as this than s.h.o.p.p.i.n.g?!

Hmmm..I think we can't really blame ourselves since Malaysia duh is NEVER SAFE! Female thinking of going jogging alone I would rather suggest you to have a great smack on your head to the wall yea go longpiak before you do that! Whenever and wherever even the most peaceful spots such as housing areas can be the dungeon of death whereby you'll get kidnapped and killed! It's not me being mean coz this is how cruel reality is diu!

2nd Major Wedding of the Year :)

Have been a very busy weekend preparing for the 2nd major wedding of the year. First was my beloved sister then now my pilot-captain-uncle-2gu! :)
All of the Chew family members including their nephew and nieces were busy helping to make this beautiful event of the year as memorable as possible for all of us and especially for 2gu as well ;)

Great wedding indeed with all relatives gathered together and getting to know ahma's side of relatives from Sarawak. And the only opposition to have won the parliament seat for Sarawak which is a DAP member of Kuching, Chong seems to be related with us too o_O" :P

I still remember dee had this script written before taking this movie a best director indeed, can go compete with Steven Spielberg already ;)

And this was year 2000 when I was in standard6 winning lots of prizes from Drawing, to Chinese Calligraphy, to English Quiz, to Chinese Comprehension.. Forgotten what are the other 2 since I won 6 prizes all in all! I was really a smart kid back then HHEEEHEEEHHEEEE~!

It has been a hell lot of celebration since Wednesday. First was SingingK at redbox right after portfolio submission, then PAM camp meeting next day in the morning, and then Massion night's out at night (duh Thursday night DJ Goldfish!) and singingK AGAIN this morning! Or should I say for the WHOLE DAY?!?!

What I would like to talk about is the PAM camp yes!

Didn't know there are actually so many events & competition held for PAM camp which make me really excited over it! yada yada who could ever miss designing buildings for an architecture camp but what really gets me into the "OHM" is: There is a FASHION WALK during the competition and it's COMPULSORY moohoohoo how cool is that!?!?! Regarding the fact that I've been wanting to venture into the fashion industry this is like the chance of a lifetime!

(okay Heidi Klum Project Runway intro phrase "this is the chance of a lifetime") oh yea, about ANTM can you freakin believe that Whitney actually won Cycle 10 America's Next Top Model!?!?! OMGOMGOMG the first ever plus sized model to win the title and I'm sure this is a big hit news in America compared to a "normal shaped/size model" winning the title don't you think so?!

So cut the crap and back to the topic FASHION WALK MOOHOOHOO!

2) Fashion Walk Each participating university/ college is compulsory to send in two (2) participants Participants are required to design their own costumes using at least 50% recycled materials.

A limit of three (3) minutes will be given to each participant.
Music prior to the event can be downloaded from our official website.
Participants will be called in for a rehearsal before the event (notified later).

Judging will be done based on the following criteria:

Originality of the design 25%
Creativity of the costume 25%
Cat walk technique 10%
Overall appearance 40%

Prize for the fashion walk : Best Model *It is important to note that the performance must be decent and in line with Malaysian culture and religion.

Final Presentation DOWN!

Yes final presentation for STUDIO III! OMGOMGOMG its OVER! OVERRRRRR!!
Had a great time partying for studio aftermath when lecturers and students stayed back a while for a little chit-chat. And watching IRON MAN in a whole bunch before having Kenny Roger's for dinner. meh can't believe sem5 is officially ending, with the -ing behind the "end" since there's still portfolio to be submitted and URGH my sketches are still in my sketch book un-scanned and what's worse is that I've submitted my sketch book oh great! >_<".. Now I dont even know how to complete my portfolio without my first assignment which is the 3 spaces meh.....

Okay la like whatever, final presentation today was so so only aiyah I dont care already what's done is done. As long as I'm happy with it then I'm satisfied :)

Better stop here gotta hit bed soon for the lack of sleep since the past 2, 3 or 4 nights I've lost count and more blogging 2mr onwards YAY! SINGK FIRST WOOHOOO~!!!!

Largest Lotus Lake, Thailand :)

Since I've submitted final working drawing submission so let's blog about the first trip in destination when we reached Thailand which was the Largest Lotus Lake :)

After long hours of bus ride from 4am till 9am, we've finally reached our first destination in Thailand on the 1st of May. Greeted by scorching hot sun ofcourse duh Thailand but we were each provided a super kawaii hat to ensure our comfortness throughout the boat ride at the Lotus Lake. Talking about aesthetic value for me too :P

Atkinson Clock Tower
One of the most enduring landmarks in Kota Kinabalu, which has stood prominently on the bluff along Signal Hill Road, is the Kota Kinabalu Clock Tower. It was built as a memorial to Francis George Atkinson, the popular first District Officer of Kota Kinabalu. This memorial has the distinction of being the oldest standing structure in the whole of Sabah that survived the air raids and blitz of World War II.

Kota Kinabalu City Bird Sanctuary
Kota Kinabalu City Bird Sanctuary is a natural site for wildlife and is located in the heart of the city. The Bird Sanctuary has an important natural function and has a feeling ground for many species of birds and also for several migratory species from Northern Asia.

Gaya Street Fair
The Gaya Street Fair is held every Sunday morning and is the place where locals come to buy their goods. You can find almost anything at the Fair. From local handicrafts, souvenirs and clothing to food, drinks, Chinese medicines, delicacies and even animals like chickens and pet dogs, can be purchased for very reasonable prices. It also is a good opportunity to try out your bargaining skills.

Sabah Museum
The Sabah Museum is located at Old Palace Hill (Bukit Istana Lama) only 5 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city centre and is situated on 43.3 acres of lush green natural and planted jungle. This location houses not only the Sabah Museum, but also an Ethno Botanic garden, a Zoological garden and a Heritage Village all in one place!

Shopping
There are 5 major shopping complexes in KK: Centrepoint, Wisma Merdeka, Wawasan Plaza, Karamunsing Complex and KK Plaza. Although most of the shops in these complexes carry fixed priced items the goods sold are all reasonably priced especially during the Mega Sales months of March, August, and December.

Apart from shopping complexes, areas such as Segama, Sinsuran, Asia City, Gaya Street and Api-Api Centre are also shopping areas good for electronic products. The Filipino Market is a place to buy handicrafts but if you are looking for authenticity Sabahan made products then the Sri Pelancongan Sabah Shop located at Sinsuran Complex is a good place to stop by. Most shopping complexes open from 10.00am and closes at 10.00pm

Signal Hill
Signal Hill is one of the best places to get a good view of KK. The hill is in a natural area where one can peacefully enjoy the beautiful skyline of the city with a view that extends to the islands.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Islands Park
The Tunku Abdul Rahman Islands Park is located just 3 to 8km. off Kota Kinabalu shore. Only 10 to 20 minutes by boat from Kota Kinabalu city, you can enjoy the beautiful tropical islands and indulged in lots of R&R. Some of the islands are equipped with chalets and food outlets to accommodate your needs.

The Park consists of 5 islands, namely Gaya, Mamutik, Manukan, Sapi and Sulug. It is a favourite place to go to for picnickers, divers and nature lovers. The park offers ample space to try water sports and you can also enjoy and adventurous jungle trek to see the flora and fauna at namely, Gaya, Manukan and Sapi islands.

It's so called study break this week for us but since for us architecture students finals only consist max 40% of our overall marks throughout the semester, so basically study week for us is studio based whereby we'll be busy with our final presentation making our final model work ;)

Hmmm, studio III already! I guess lecturers do expect us to come out with "geng geng" 3D digital model and all but it's a big no no for me since I'm an utter "PC keeg" (Opposite of geek) So what I'm gonna do is a traditional physical model somebody please agree with me? >_< ".. Did our final presentation for Project Management this afternoon which was quite okay and after this will be history final exam this coming Monday! Uhhhhh, the word history is such a boring word i know but I really hope to score well since I've been getting "pregnant woman" ever since secondary school for history (except for the one and only SPM freakin A1 can you believe it @_@" okay cut the crap out) Which means I've gotta start studying history! Faster faster group study when when when? :) :) :) After that I'll be M.I.A (missing in action) for a few days for a little retreat am I out of my mind retreat during such a peak period!?!?! hahahaha nobody can ever resist the little simple word which is: TRAVELLING :)

It's the 2nd week of April people and tension and stress is looming towards us CRAZY but still please don't forget to enjoy every part of the so called "season finale" of Architecture Diaries Season 5 coz you never know when you'll be able to experience this again in the future oh what the hell blabbering the experience won't be the same anymore as time goes by!
I know I know architecture is a never ending process of learning where stress will keep clinging towards us but come to think about it, it's not actually that bad.. no?

Eh what the heck I dunno what I'm talking about already@_@!

Anyway, yeah I've actually curled my hair at the one and only Hayden's cousin:

Still not used to this new hairstyle. Wow.. we are now stepping into the 2nd quarter of year 2008 already! Gawd times super flies man like crazy are you kidding me we are almost at the end of sem5 already!! @_@"
I can sense tonnes of assignments looming in the dark from every corner, coz that's what usually happens whenever end of semester is approaching can die >_<" what the heck man, appreciate what you have now, don't let the past bug you and don't worry about the future, just live for now yes? :) Hmmm.. I then realize my diploma course in Architecture is also coming to an end and what have I learnt? *pondering*

#2 crit session today was fine, better than the previous one since I was more prepared this time. But of course still loads to develop and I hope I can do well for this assignment since my chosen site is right beside Khoo Kongsi, one of the landmarks in Penang.

A few days ago I've suddenly got this intuition in dying my hair.
It's not that I hate my black hair but since I've been having black hair for quite a while so might as well go for change.

Since kiamsiap me wouldn't wanna spend RM100+ just for a hair dye so I was thinking since buy a hair dye and dye myself and going to saloon to dye is the same might as well save the moneh?

So I bought the colour dark brown to compliment the colour of my eye pupil.

Went through quite some time of applying the dye on my hair.
Seth was the volunteer in dyeing my hair since he's a hair-dresser-wannabe too.

Went for our every week must-do outing yesterday with Jessmine, Jesslyn, and JeeWei! Hehe, haven't been seeing her since sem1. Gosh I kinda miss the good old Ridzuan times~

last night in conjunction for the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of NUFFNANG!! Never thought that I would be attending parties like this as you know it will be so awkward not knowing anybody in the house moreover dressed in my pyjamas?! @_@" *kisiao-ah*

Since I'm currently stuck at home so let me have an update on Penang trip! :D
It's a long-ago outing with my college buddies but still better late than never ;)

Btw DAP has taken over Penang like OMGwad and also the opposition has taken more than 1/3 of the parliamentary seats ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!?!?! :O

muahahaha!!

Internet is such a powerful media right now I wonder what will happen next time when youths like us get to vote #_#

First stop was the fusion-of-the-old-and-the-new Wawasan University building at Gurney area.

After a tiring walk along Chulia Street, we decided to have a deep into Penang's hawker paradise and since the perfect "tourist spot" for hawker food is Gurney Drive so off off and away to Gurney!

Finally we made it there and dived into the hawker galore!

Did a little tour in Gurney Plaza before heading back to the hotel thus ends day I?? Na-ah, since the clubbing area is just right beside our hotel so wooohooo babeh~!!, off to some night's outing!!! :P

Although it wasn't really fun but now we know Momo is out of the list for clubbing in Penang =X.

Day II which was the most tiring day of all:

We were divided into few groups where all of us suppose to have 2 groups in one zone but what the heck we were the only group doing zone5!! @_@".. It's "seemingly" the smallest zone of all but NOT AT ALL IT'S JUST A FEW METERS SMALLER OKAY! we 4 girls had to walk till our legs go feel-like-breaking unlike other groups when they get to divide their zone into smaller areas. =-=" *ppfffffttttt**

No more playing around taking pix but serious business now.

On the trishaw with Nelly for some more site visits on day III.
Talked with the ahpek who fetched us and he told us that he's been a trishaw peddler since forever. 50 years!!!
Back then he used to fetch students to school then I remembered mee and dee's main transport to school was trishaw. How peaceful and calm back then don't you think so?

Due to mis-communication ahpek actually went to the total opposite direction of our site and ride straight into George Town while we wanted to actually go to Esplanade. Poor uncle have to ride triple the journey he had to. Ofcoz we gave him some extra tips for him to drink kopi and the kopi-tiam :)

This will be my first time joining a contest in the blogging-world. Not too high expectation on it but still just trying my luck ;)

I sleep better with Chipster?

Hmmmm...being an architecture student I must say there aren't much sleeping time for us like seriously yeah what the heck right?! WHY CAN'T ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS HAVE MORE SLEEP!?!! Having tonnes and tonnes of assignments piling up when the "architecture period" attacks will have us all stressed up and have sleepless nights which might last for days or even weeks.

3rd year of architecture life now made me have this bad habit: Not hitting bed in time which eventually made me lead an unhealthy lifestyle.
Sleeping late, waking up early and having naps on the afternoon and lectures what the heck.

=___+''. Have been back from Penang trip with my college buddies for almost 2 weeks already. Finally we've submitted submission 1 for our assignment 2 and yes time to gasp for some air this weekend :)

These 2 weeks have been really hectic yet fun :)

Went to a Temple last week to be in a fairy land of lights and tanglungs which was pretty + picturesque.

This is why I love night scenes. When colourful lights shines prettily in the dark ♥.

Back in Penang again and I've finally have the time to blog again ;)

We had the pre-wedding celebration where relatives and friends are invited which made us in the family go hooo-haaaa for it's been a while since we had such big parties in our house.

Although the guest list was a lil' hay-wire, the wedding dinner was a great success, the best wedding dinner ever.
The ambiance was perfect, music band was great, Dee's speech went on fluently too. :D

On the 25th and 26th of January 2008, I've experienced the most beautiful and memorable day with my family. Limin's wedding was a big success and all our relatives and friends were very happy.

Of course we are happy too ;)

Limin in the wedding gown was pretty pretty prettyyyyyyyyyy ♥~!!

Went to choose the future wife's wedding gown which was really fun and informative. Designers' wedding gowns are available too. Hmmm, I wanna wear at least one of Vera Wang's when i get married please? :D

Royal SelangorPewter Centre

Royal Selangor Pewter Centre.
Semester5 1st Site Visit.

During the first week of semester5, we went to Royal Selangor Pewter Centre which was our first assignment for Design Studio III which made me realise that Yong Koon, the founder of Royal Selangor is really a successful business man, having his creation last til today after more than 100 years. \(o_O")/

It started out with only my hp and my new pink mouse :D

Got spongy stickers on my hp see? ^-^

Then I found out that my new pencil box is also as kawaii, not to forget the 5-in-one highlighter.
